The Clinics @ PAU

The Clinics @ PAU is the collective of all Palo Alto University–operated training clinics.
Our Clinics Include:

Community Clinic
Founded in 1988 by Kurt and Barbara Gronowski, this clinic was created to provide low‑cost, evidence‑based psychological services to underserved community members. For over 30 years it has remained true to that vision, offering sliding‑scale counseling and psychotherapy to adults, children, adolescents, older adults, couples, and families. All services are delivered by doctoral‑level students under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologists and seasoned clinical supervisors.

Sexual and Gender Identities Clinic (SGIC)
The SGIC offers affordable, affirming services for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning. In an intentional affirming space, clients receive specialized counseling around sexual orientation and gender identity, alongside support for other life challenges. Their trainees work closely with faculty and clinical supervisors to ensure the highest quality of care.

Clínica Latina
As part of PAU’s commitment as a Hispanic Serving Institution, Clínica Latina provides bilingual (English / Spanish) mental health services to the Bay Area Latinx community. Located within the Community Clinic, it offers psychotherapy for adults, adolescents, children, seniors, couples, and families—delivered by supervised doctoral students under both faculty and clinical supervisor oversight.

PAU's eClinic
The PAU eClinic is a fully online practice serving students, adults, and older adults throughout California. Advanced graduate students provide telehealth and digital therapy under the guidance of licensed clinicians and dedicated clinical supervisors. Their mission is to be the premier training site for clinical students, alumni, educators, and supervisors in telehealth, and to deliver top‑quality digital therapy across the Bay Area, California, and beyond.
