A qualified disabled student or applicant who requires an accommodation and is otherwise unaware of the appropriate process should contact the PAU Associate Director of Student Services at the Office of Student Disability Services and request such accommodation in writing and in a timely fashion, that is, well before the accommodation is needed. PAU will then work with the student or applicant to identify the existing barrier(s), and will also identify the possible accommodation, if any, that would eliminate the barrier(s). If the accommodation is reasonable, effective and will not alter a fundamental aspect of the educational program or otherwise impose an undue hardship, and/or there are not equivalent alternatives, PAU will offer to make an accommodation.
