PAU at the APA Convention 2021

Congratulations to Palo Alto University (PAU) students, faculty, staff, and alumni who will participate in 60 workshops, symposiums, discussions, poster sessions and more at this year's American Psychological Association (APA) Virtual Convention taking place August 12-14, 2021. This annual event is the largest gathering of psychologists and psychology students in the world from all areas of specialization in psychology and from research, practice, education, and policy. The convention provides a platform for sharing information on a wide variety of critical and timely topics.

Congratulations to Palo Alto University APA Award Winners!

  • PAU Professor Kimberly Balsam, PhD is the recipient of the 2021 Distinguished Contribution to Education and Training Award from APA Division 44. Learn more.
  • Em Matsuno, PhD, who recently completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at PAU, is the recipient of the 2021 Transgender Research Award from APA Division 44. 
  • PAU Student Dushyant Makadia won the 2021 National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) R13-funded travel award for the poster “Impact of COVID-19 on Cannabis Use and Practices among Medical vs. Recreational Users.”
  • PAU Student Juliana Ng won the APA Assessment Community Student Poster Award in Division 12.
